🔳 About the Japan Society of Applied Glycoscience

The Japan Society of Applied Glycoscience was established in 1952 as the Starch Industry Association, with the aim of promoting the progress of glycoscience, including starch, and related enzyme sciences, thereby contributing to the development of science, technology, and related industries. The society was later renamed the Japan Starch Society in 1972, and in 1993, it became the Japan Society of Applied Glycoscience. In July 2015, it was re-established as a general incorporated association, and this year marks its 71st anniversary.

Since its inception, the society has continued academic research activities not only in the field of basic research but also in practical applications, in close cooperation with a wide range of researchers and engineers from industries, universities, and public research institutions.
